“Worship the Lord with gladness; come into his presence with singing”  Psalm 100:2

To worship Christ is the center of the Christian life.  Through worship we are renewed and strengthened to live our lives more fully.  Bethany English Lutheran Church has reverent and vibrant worship services centered in the Word and Sacrament.  Our congregation represents and welcomes the diversity of our community.

Traditional Lutheran worship services are at 8:30 and 11:00 am each Sunday with liturgy, music, communion and a sermon from the pastor. During the summer, one service is held at 10:00 am.  Services are based on the Lutheran Book of Worship.  Large print worship materials are available.

Holy Communion

Holy Communion is celebrated at all Sunday services. Lutherans believe that the body and blood of Christ are present in, with, and under the consecrated bread and wine.  Communicants can choose either wine or grape juice and regular or gluten free communion wafers.

Lenten and Easter Worship

An Ash Wednesday service at 7 pm begins our forty-day liturgical preparation for Easter. Wednesday evening Lenten Worship services are added during the season of Lent preceded by the popular Soup Suppers which are served at 6 pm.   Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services end our somber Lenten journey.   Our journey from death to life concludes with festive Easter Sunday services to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord. These services include pageantry with choir, special music, and Pastor’s message.
